| Announcing the launch of “PCC_16” TUESDAY TIMETRIAL SERIES TO BE HELD AT ZANDVLEI EVERY TUESDAY FROM MAR 16th to OCT 26th AT 18H15 I am plenty excited to announce the launch of PCC first Tuesday Winter TimeTrial Series! For a club boasting the BIGGEST TIMED WINTER TIMETRIAL in the country, it’s ABOUT TIME! Called the “PCC_16”, we will cater for 16 categories: male and female for Juniors, Seniors, Vets and Masters for both K1 and K2 disciplines. Every Tuesday evening, after the timetrial, there will be a SHORT prize giving, where prizes will be handed out to at least one paddler in each of the 16 categories. At our annual prize giving at the end of the season, we will announce the category runners up and winners for the series and bestow upon then the appropriate awards and gifts to recognize their magnificent achievements. Cool huh? Ok, just to add some spice to the series, we gonna mix things up a little. The K1 and K2 series will run concurrently and you will receive your category points based on your performance of the OVERALL winner (K1 or K2) of the race and NOT based on the performance of the winner of your category. Also, in the K2, you may paddle with ANYONE without losing your category status. Finally, your best 15 races (out a of possible 33) will count towards your final points total in your category. Now, how cool is that? This series is open to anyone – all we need is your name and age! No series fees! Never a cancellation! Just pitch and paddle! Full results and the latest leaderboards will be published on the PCC website no later than Wednesday afternoon! If you are not on the results, we don’t know your name or age so make a plan to get it to us! Are we maxing out on the coolness or what? Now, as a member of PCC, this is where I need YOU to help me! I want you to OWN one of the 33 Tuesday’s of PCC_16 Series. What that means is that you find a few mates, work colleagues, sponsors etc .etc. to assist you to put together 16 prizes for a particular Tuesday. PCC can advertise your sponsorship before the event through our weekly chairman’s chirp and on our website, then on that Tuesday evening you will be given the opportunity to plug your product or sponsor.
