| | The "no tolerance" Timetrial Start Procedure |

| 6:00pm | Clock will start and remain on for 12 mins | | | | |
| 6:12pm | Clock will be turned off and one red light will be turned on (3mins to start) |
| 6:14pm | Two red lights turned on (1 mins to start) |
| 6:15pm | Three red lights turned on. You are now under starters orders and the race may be started anytime. |
| | All red lights turned off. Race starts. |

| | The idea is start the timetrial at 6:15pm sharp according to the starters time. This gives everybody (whatever the weather conditions) a fair chance to get to the time trial in time, |
| | The first red light will go on EXACTLY at 6:12pm. The second red light WILL go on EXACTLY two minutes later and the third a minute later (at 6:15pm). Paddlers must time their approach to the line according to the lights. |
| | No instructions will issued by the starters on the bank before the start - the paddlers must react to the lights only. |

| Jumpers | Jumpers are paddlers who have been identified by the starter as been over the start line when the 3 red lights were turned off. |
| | The starter and the spotter(s) will not warn or attempt to get jumpers back into line before the start. |
| | After the race, there will be no debate as to who jumped and who was caought or not. The starters decision after consultation with the spotters, will be final. |
| | Jumpers will be allowed to complete the race but their times and positions will NOT be recorded. |
| | Each week, jumpers names will be published in the Jumpers List on the PCC website. If a paddlers name appears TWO or more times on the Jumpers List, he/she's times will not be recorded in subsequent races. |
| | A jumper may have his/her name removed from the Jumpers List by paying the Jumpers Fine of R 100.00 to the club and do one session of Tuesday night bar duty. |

| | | BluePrint have once again kindly come forward and sponsored another BluePrint Winter Timetrial series to be run in conjunction with the normal PCC Timetrial. The BluePrint events will be on the last Tuesday of every month running from April to September. More details about the series later.
